A passionate storyteller and dynamic presenter, Parr excels at commanding attention and provoking thought toward new perspectives. Focused on innovative and important topics at the intersection of empathy and impact at the intersection of the public and private sectors, she has shared her unique perspectives with global audiences over fifteen years when she was first featured on CNN World News in a personal interview titled “Mission: Possible, Model-Teacher.” Her internationally-acclaimed TEDx Talk on Conscious Consumerism and Economic Empowerment was translated into eleven languages before it was removed from TED.com due to the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban in 2021, in order to protect her Afghan female artisan colleagues she featured. This talk has since been reinstated and she maintains connectivity and work with many artisans in Afghanistan and globally.

Domestic and international conference speaking engagements include a TEDx Talk: The Road to Economic Empowerment is Conscious Consumerism, featured on TED.com and originally translated into eleven languages. This talk was reinstated after removal due to the global reach and crisis in Afghanistan in order to protect the women featured following the Taliban takeover of the country. Corporate addresses are available on her topics of expertise, including education, economic empowerment, conscious consumerism, sustainable design and supply chain transparency.

University addresses

Katherine has spoken at various educational institutions including Villanova University, Villanova School of Business and the ICE Institute: Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship; in the form of keynote addresses, and as a panel host and panelist. She speaks on her background in the luxury goods industry entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, and sustainable design, to students of all ages, especially at the university level.
